Enough of Rhetoric, or, How to be Okay, part 2

February 27, 2011

I didn’t want to ski today. I was happy to sleep in, eat cereal, and envelop myself in the sweet comfort of the internet. I wanted to forget about the stress of last week and let my body and mind heal. But when Jeremy asked me if I wanted to go skiing, I said yes. Not because I wanted to ski (or even stand up) but because I knew I would regret not going.

I made a wise choice. Although down time and rest are important when recovering from sickness and stress, there is nothing more healing than skiing under blue skies through deep white powder.

Our first lap was soul enriching, and we found some interesting terrain at the bottom of the run.

We spent a while dropping this cliff and enjoying the overall beauty of life.

The skin out felt long and by the time we made it back to the car my legs had had enough with walking and such. It was a beautiful, near perfect day, punctuated by a beautiful, near perfect burrito. Yeah.

I have looked at this blog 73 times. Don’t think you are cool or anything.

It doesn’t matter who visits or how many times they visit. The only thing that matters is that number. And I am a winner.
