Big Time at Castle Rocks

July 16, 2010

June 14, 2010. While watching a basketball game on a Sunday night, Dusty, Ang, and I decided to go climbing the next morning.  In Idaho.

We decided on a route called Big Time in Castle Rocks, Idaho.  The route is 4 pitches of 5.7 sport climbing, and I thought it would be a good introduction to climbing for Ang, and good multi-pitch practice for Dusty.  Plus, it just looked like a stellar route.

Dusty led the first pitch under a perfect blue sky.

Ang is fairly new to climbing, and she was nervous about this climb.  She seemed pretty scared almost the whole time, and she closed her eyes whenever she was waiting a belay station, but she did great and had no trouble with the route.  Great job Ang.

It was a perfect day of climbing.  Great weather, great rock, great views, and great friends.
